Accommodations at the Highlands Resort
Please note that all rates are based upon 1 - 2 persons per accommodation unless otherwise noted. There is a fee of $25 per person for the 3rd or 4th person in any unit allowing that number of guests. Rates do not include the local bed tax of 11%. All accommodations are NON-Smoking. King Cabin
Romance Rules! Individual cabin with king bed, gas fireplace, large 2 person soaking tub... we even provide bubble bath!

Kitchen Cabin
Your own cozy house! This cabin has a living room with gas fireplace, small kitchen and dining table; bedroom with a queen bed and a private bathroom. Private deck with a table and chairs. Great for a long vacation! Cabin #1 is pet-friendly.

Deluxe Studio Cabin
Charming individual cabin with a spacious living and sleeping area with a queen bed, couch (double futon bed), gas fireplace, wet bar and bathroom with large 2-person shower. Your cabin has a front porch. Cabin #5 is pet-friendly.

Garden Suite
Tucked away from the rest of the resort, yet with a lovely view of our clothing-optional pool. Queen bed, gas fireplace and TV (with a DVD player). Wonderful private outdoor deck for lounging.

Redwood Suite
Perfect for tree-huggers everywhere! This suite is one large room which gets smaller every 40 years as the Redwood trees next to it grow larger (it's not magic, somebody has to whack out more of the wall and make room for the trees). King bed, gas fireplace, wet bar and wheelchair accessible.

Studio Cabin
Cozy studio cabin with queen bed, gas fireplace and wet bar. Tiny bathroom. Lovely views of the garden from the deck. Pet-friendly.

Pool Suite
Two rooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed. Lovely view of the pool and gardens from the covered porch. A TV in each room (one of only two TV equipped accommodations at the resort!) Probably the most comfortable for parties of 4. Access to/from the suite is through the king bedroom.

Shared Cabin Room
On a budget? Want to make new friends? This private bedroom in a cabin is perfect! You get: private bedroom with one full size bed. You share: sitting area, bathroom and outdoor deck (with folks you don't know)
Note: Rent BOTH bedrooms for your own 'TWO BEDROOM Cabin'.
Maximum occupancy: 2 persons per bedroom (NO exceptions)

Two Room Cabin
Enjoy a wood fire! This cabin has a small fireplace, a queen bed and a double bed and can sleep up to 4 persons.

Rate: $115 November 2012 - April 2013; [Summer 2013 = $120 - 140]
Standard Room
This would be your basic 'motel' style room - perfect for one or two persons. One room with a double bed, corner table and chair, very small refrigerator. Private bathroom with a shower. Front porch.
Maximum occupancy: 2 persons
Rate: Summer 2013 = $90 - 100 Higher rate is for Fri/Sat & Holidays/Events [$90 November 2013 - April 2014]
Day Use
Can't spend the night? Staying someplace else (gasp)? Come and enjoy the resort for the day! We offer day use of our pool area from May through September.
Maximum occupancy: We limit day guests on crowded summer weekends. PARKING: We only have a few parking spaces for our day guests (street parking is available at the bottom of the hill on Armstrong Woods Road).
Rate: $15 per person on Saturday, Sunday and holidays/events; $10 Monday through Friday. Available May 1 through October 30.
Camping
Pitch your tent in our back yard! This is not backpacking. Most of our campers bring tents large enough to stand up in, and bring queen size airbeds, 300 count linens and duvets. Don't forget to pack the solar lights!
(Camping Open: Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September.)
Maximum occupancy: 4 persons per tent (priced per person)
Rate: $30 per person on Weekends, Holidays and Events; $20 per person Sunday - Thursday. Camping available from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September.
General Information:
This is where we put the 'important' stuff for you to know. There's more and it can be found on our Policies page.
- Cabins and Suites with 2 beds can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. We do NOT have roll-away beds or cribs.
- Guests are welcome to arrive between 3pm and 10pm when the office closes. Please call ahead to arrange for a late arrival. Guests arriving between noon and 3pm may use the pool while waiting to check-in. Guests wishing to check-in to their accommodations prior to 3pm may, depending upon availability, do so for an additional charge.
- Check out is at noon. For a later check-out please contact the office prior to noon. Half-day rates (use of the unit until 6pm) can occasionally be arranged when available. Guest are welcome to use the resort until 6pm on their day of departure at no additional charge.
- Rates include our version of a Continental Breakfast: Coffee, orange juice, tea, hot chocolate, our home made granola, and fresh fruit. On weekends and holidays we also make muffins (we're famous for them)!
- We require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends (all year). Special Event and Holiday weekends often have 3-5 night minimum stays. Holiday and event weekends are listed by month on our "Policies" page.
- We are an adult resort. Persons under age 18 must be under adult supervision (yes, that means you are right there with them) all the time. Persons under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- We do NOT allow smoking in any of our cabins, rooms and suites. Smoking is permitted outdoors.
- Quiet (as in peace and): Quiet hours are 10pm until 9am. We don't allow disruptive partying. We don't allow radios, CD players, ipods, etc. anywhere at the resort unless you are using earbuds. Basically, our returning guests come back because it's quiet and relaxing. We protect their interests. If you are looking for the disco ball party place, we are happy to make referrals.
