Cancellation and Changes

Due to our intimate size, changes to reservations (including shortening stays) and cancellations affect us significantly. We strictly adhere to our cancellation/change policies. We recommend guests purchase trip cancellation insurance to protect themselves. Important: We issue a Cancellation Number to you when you cancel your reservation. We recommend you call us to cancel especially if you are cancelling close to the cancellation deadline to insure that you will not be responsible for paying a cancellation penalty. Should you need to change or cancel ANY PART of your reservation: Standard Reservations Require notice by 12:00 Noon (Pacific time) at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. Less notice, no notice, or changes made after arrival will result in a cancellation/change penalty equal to one night’s stay. Reservations that are: Over holidays & most event weekends: with a 3-5 night minimum stay requirement. Reservations for 2 or more units Stays of over 5 nights Require notice by 12:00 Noon (Pacific time) at least 14 days prior to your arrival date. Less notice, no notice, or changes made after arrival will result in a cancellation/change penalty equal to two (2) night’s stay. Reservations for Lazy Bear: Require a 50% deposit within 30 days of making your reservation. Cancellation with a full refund of the deposit (less a $25 administrative fee) must be received by 12:00 noon (Pacific time) at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. Cancellation with less notice or no notice forfeit entire deposit. No exceptions. Trip Insurance is strongly recommended.

Pet Policies

Pet Policies We have pet-friendly cabins and a complete description of each can be found on our accommodations page. Check availability for pet-friendly rooms here. Or look at Cabins 1 (Kitchen Cabin); Cabin 5 (Deluxe Studio Cabin) or Cabin 6 (King Studio Cabin). Basic Rules Pet Fee of $25 is non-refundable and per stay (not per night). Only allowed in specific cabins with advance reservation. Pets must be well behaved. No barking that disturbs guests or neighbors. No threatening behavior towards other guests or their pets. Pets must be on a leash or confined to the cabin or porch. Leashes – no longer than 6′ and must be under your control. No exceptions. Sonoma County has a very strict leash law. Ask about dog parks and other ‘off leash’ areas. Pets are not allowed Within the pool area. In the Guest Lounge during breakfast. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet and any damages caused by your pet. Bring a crate if you wish to leave your pet unattended in the cabin. Damage to our gardens counts as ‘damage’. Local (Sonoma County) law requires all dogs (including service dogs) be leashed in public areas – which includes all areas at the resort. Comfort, therapy or emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and fall under our Pet Policy above.

Policies (updated for COVID-19 safety) Check In: 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Call ahead to arrange for late arrival. No early check-in due to the need to have rooms vacant for as long as possible. Check Out: 11:00am. (Changed: Additional cleaning time required due to COVID-19, we apologize for the inconvenience) Occupancy: Rates are based on 1 – 2 persons. Cabins and suites with 2 beds can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. There is a $30 extra person fee for the 3rd & 4th person(s). We do NOT have roll-away beds or cribs. Continental Breakfast is included: Coffee, orange juice, tea, hot chocolate, our homemade granola, tasty home baked treats (muffins or fruit breads), and fresh fruit. Minimum Stay: 2 night minimum stay (all year) Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we try to leave rooms vacant for 24 hours between guests. Because of this limit to our available rooms we no longer take advance reservations for single night stays. Single night reservations are often available and can be made on the morning of the night you want to stay. Please call after 9 am. Special Event and Holiday Weekends often have 3-5 night minimum stays. Vacations /7-night Minimums: During the summer and early fall we hold about 25% of our rooms and cabins for folks looking to stay 7 or more nights. We release the 7-night minimums about 10 days prior and start calling folks on our waiting list. Parking: Free off-street parking for one car per Room, Cabin or Campsite reserved. Extra vehicles will be accommodated as space allows on a first-come basis. Extra fee applies. Children: Persons under age 18 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. We are a quiet resort and expect all guests regardless of age to be able to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere without disturbing other guests or neighbors. Children under age 12 are not allowed to stay in the Pool Suite or Garden Suite due to the proximity to our Pool. Pets: Are allowed in three of our individual cabins. Please see our Pet Policy for more information about pets (and Service Animals). No Smoking except in our: Smoking Areas –  both are centrally located and each are in a beautiful circle of redwood trees. This area is furnished with tables, chairs, ashtrays, and ambiance for your smoking pleasure. Smoking in any other part of the resort violates several Sonoma County (where we are) laws. Applies to ANYTHING vapor or smoked. Quiet – Our returning guests come back in part because of the quiet and relaxing environment. Quiet hours are 10 pm until 9 am. We don’t allow disruptive partying. We don’t allow radios, CD players, iPods, etc. anywhere at the resort unless you are using earbuds. Pool: Our pool is open and heated to 80o F from 8:30 am to 10 pm May 1 through September 30. The rest of the year the pool is available; as a refreshing cold plunge. Sunbathing (nude sunbathing allowed). GROUP RESERVATIONS: We’re glad you want to bring your friends. (COVID-19: We ask you to travel with your “family” or “Social Bubble” only) We can accommodate groups up to 8 persons. (COVID-19: Groups limited to 4 persons) Larger groups tend to take over the resort and that lessens the quality of the experience for the rest of our guests. So we don’t do it. We will consider renting the entire resort to a group during the winter only (November – March). We do not offer weddings or reception facilities.
